Plagiarism

Plagiarism is considered to be the most unlawful act that students and writers commit. Plagiarism is the act of copying one's work, and using them as your own. Due to lack of time, people, specifically students, tend to copy and paste the works found in the different websites, and pass them as their own work.

As students, certain citation styles are required by professors. Depending on the style used, students should learn to cite their references well, to avoid being plagiarized. In addition to this, direct quotation is also avoided. Students are taught to rephrase their words, but still cite their source after the quotation. Anything that is unknown to many is not considered as common information, and should definitely be cited accordingly.
